The Agile Innovation Fund is a support provided to small businesses and micro enterprises to enable them carry out research or to develop new business processes to expand their business. It’s available to clients of Local Enterprise Offices, and it can give rapid access to innovation funding.

Who can apply?

This grant is open to Local Enterprise Office clients.  It supports companies that are new to R&D, operating in short product life cycles or undertaking small projects. It is also ideal for companies in sectors with rapid design cycles to maintain their technology position. What can the grant be used for?

The aim of the fund is to help companies respond more quickly to market opportunities and challenges, including those posed by Brexit. It supports the development of new or substantially improved products, services or processes, where the total project cost is less than €300,000. Projects may range from solving technical challenges (R&D) to innovations in services delivery or business models (Digital Process Innovation).

How much is available?

Grant rates range from 25% to 45% of the project’s cost, depending on company size.
