Business Feasibility Study and Innovation Grant

Who can apply?

Business Feasibility Study and Innovation Grants may be awarded to individuals or businesses that meet these criteria:

• The enterprise is exploring the feasibility of a manufacturing or internationally traded service sector business.
• The enterprise must not employ more than 10 people.
• The enterprise must be established, registered and operate within the geographic location of the Local Enterprise Office.
• The enterprise must be run on a commercial basis.
• The enterprise must show it has a market for its product or service.

How much is available?

The maximum grant payable varies by location:

• In the southern and eastern region the maximum grant is 50% of the investment or €15,000, whichever is the lesser.
• In the border, midlands and western region the maximum grant is 60% of the investment or €15,000 whichever is the lesser.

What can the grant be used for?

Expenditure may be considered under the following headings:

• Market Research
• Consultancy Costs
• Technical Development/Prototype/Innovation
• Salary/Own Labour Research
• Miscellaneous Costs
